Our volunteers visit patients in the local hospitals. Specifically, the members of our organization are recognized volunteers at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and St. Peter’s University Hopsital, both in New Brunswick, New Jersey, as well as at JFK Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey.
Bikur Cholim has arranged for volunteers to visit hospitalized patients. These visits are designed to lend emotional support for patients, let them know that they are not alone and provide a friendly face and connection to the local Jewish community.
In addition, we provide homebound visiting for members of the community and in local nursing homes.
